Through working with experimental archaeologists, neuroscientists and archivists, Matt Fratson explores relationships between memory and the geo-societal factors that shape our default perceptions of place. Continuous research drives work that folds new interpretations of archival, community-generated and collections-based material together, often involving moving image and CG sequences, in long-term projects that act as ‘containers’ accumulating new information over time.
He is currently based in Hull, England.
